Glass Globe Tube Tutorial
Glass snowgobes. You see them all over, some with snow or other added sparklies. Tired of trying to find a tube for the glass globe when your pc crashes or simply not being able to find one to your liking? This glass globe tutorial will show you how to make your own custom glass globes, with or without highlights for making your own snowglobes, or using in the Globe Under Glass Tutorial. There are lots of ways out there to make them, and this is the way that works best for me. My tutorial uses no layers, no plug-ins, and makes a beautiful glass globe.

Making your glass globe
Terms Of UseBegin with a new image, transparent background, size 425 X 425. Use your Selection tool and from the pop up menu, choose "Ellipse". Hold down your "shift" key and begin in the center of your image begin expanding your circle. The circle you are making will be your globe, so make it as large as possible, you can always resize it after saving as a tube.. When you have it the size you want, release the shift button and you will see the "marching ants" forming your circle. This is going to be your globe.
Go back to your left hand menu and scroll down and find your "Paint Bucket" tool. Left click on it and choose the color "white". Before "flood filling" image, please note the settings as shown below. The opacity setting is changed to help give us the appearance of "glass" for our globe. We are going to "flood fill" our circle with this color.

You now should have an image of a circle filled with a hazy white color, still surrounded by your moving dotted line.
